Energy Star Verification & Certification
Energy Star Certification is for more than just refrigerators and light bulbs. With Energy Star, buildings are rated on a scale of 1-100. A building above 75 can earn Energy Star recognition.
There are several benefits to Energy Star certification. Looking to get your building Energy Star Certified?
In order to achieve Energy Star Recognition, the building must be benchmarked on Energy Star Portfolio Manager. Many states, such as California and many municipalities, like Atlanta, New York, and Orlando, require benchmarking on Portfolio Manager to meet local laws. If your building scores a 75 or higher, you may pursue certification, which will include a review and site visit by a licensed professional.

Path to Energy Star Recognition
